Your responsibilities

As part of an international consulting team, you will help leading organizations turn AI and software innovation into real business value, working on projects that combine modern engineering practices with emerging AI technologies

  • You design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and modern software architecture principles, with a strong focus on clean code, performance and automated testing.
  • You build responsive and intuitive web applications using Angular or React with TypeScript, delivering user experiences aligned with modern design principles.
  • You design and integrate APIs, databases and event-driven components using technologies such as OpenAPI, PostgreSQL, Oracle and other SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • You integrate Generative AI capabilities into full-stack applications, including Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines, AI agents and tool-based workflows, and connect them with enterprise systems through REST APIs, events or Model Context Protocol.
  • You automate application builds, testing and deployments using CI/CD pipelines, containers and cloud-native technologies on Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
  • You collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, subject matter experts and client teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, and contribute through code reviews, technical discussions and clear documentation.

Your Profile

  • You have a university degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering or a comparable field, or an equivalent qualification gained through professional experience, as well as at least 5 years of hands-on experience in backend or full-stack software development.
  • You have strong experience with Java and Spring Boot, including REST APIs, microservices and enterprise integrations, as well as hands-on experience with Angular or React with TypeScript.
  • You have experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL or MongoDB, and practical experience with at least one cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
  • You have practical experience building and integrating AI-enabled applications, including Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, semantic/vector search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, agentic workflows, model-provider SDKs and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • You have experience with CI/CD, containers, automated testing, code reviews, error handling, logging and monitoring;
  • You are fluent in German and have very good English skills.

What else sets you apart

  • Experience developing production-ready RAG solutions, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, validation and evaluation of generated responses.
  • Experience developing AI agents that can plan tasks, use tools and prepare or execute actions in enterprise systems, including exposing or consuming tools through Model Context Protocol.
  • Proficiency in an additional programming language besides Java, such as Python or C#.
  • Experience with AI platforms and services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or OpenAI APIs, as well as AI quality practices such as automated evaluations, guardrails, observability and tracing.
  • Experience with Kafka, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, OpenShift or Terraform, work in regulated industries, or relevant cloud, Java, frontend or AI certifications.
