Your Tasks

  • Analyze business and regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, IDD), assessing their impact on insurance systems like policy admin, claims, and underwriting
  • Document business needs through BRDs, functional specs, user stories, and process models tailored to insurance workflows
  • Translate insurance-specific needs—such as pricing, claims, and reporting—into IT requirements and support system design and integration
  • Leverage AI and data mining to optimize decision-making in underwriting, fraud detection, claims triage, and customer service
  • Support implementation of insurance platforms (e.g., core systems, CRMs) and cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory needs
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify and improve inefficiencies in areas like policy issuance, renewals, and onboarding
  • Work with IT and business colleagues to develop solutions to specific problems that at times leverage existing solutions and systems
  • Build professional relationships with clients, management, and team members to ensure the delivery of proposed solutions

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance projects, with a strong focus on industry processes such as claims, underwriting, policy administration, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in process analysis, requirement gathering, and stakeholder communication
  • Skilled in working both independently and collaboratively, with a detail-oriented and well-organized approach
  • Familiarity with insurance technologies and a strong interest in AI-driven solutions
  • Solid understanding of insurance operations and IT systems
  • Experience with cross-functional teams in consulting or project environments
  • Relevant certifications in insurance or IT are a plus
  • Show strong customer orientation for both internal and external stakeholders, with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude
  • Speak fluent business English; knowledge of German is a plus
  • Enjoy occasional travel to customers (approx. 5–6 times/year)
